Pete drew his final breath today in a room filled with love, and though he will no longer walk among us, he will live forever in our hearts.

Rest In Peace my beautiful and valiant son.

  4. Reggie, I posted a comment yesterday 2/22 under anonymous- somehow I missed the name catagory and ended up on anonymous. Anyhow back to the point, sorry. I just wanted to thank you for creating the blog, giving me, as well as others, a chance to be a part of Petes battle against a terrible disease. A connection to brag about Pete and share our thoughts and feelings etc... I needed this (since I couldn't be there in person) to feel involved. I needed the venue to speak my heart/say my peace. THANK YOU FOR THAT! THANK YOU, THANK YOU ...! The previous was written last night 2/22.
I was informed earlier today 2/23 that Pete passed on from Dave Tarnowski. I am relieved that Pete isn't suffering any longer and am thankful that you,his sister, family, and friends don't have to watch him suffer any longer! I can't imagine the pain,anger,helplessness,etc...! I just wish we could have "our" Pete back- happy, healthy, and traveling down a different and longer path! My heart is broken today, so the best I can say is sarcoma may have defeated Petes body, but it cannot and will not ever defeat his spirit and soul!!! He lives on in everything and everyone he touched! He touched so many. I feel so very fortunate to have known Pete. Sarcoma cannot take Pete away from our hearts and minds! He made a difference! He counted! I am proud to call him a friend!! ALWAYS!
    Reggie,
My heart is with you and yours! Thank you for such a wonderful son!
Pete be at peace and know we all love you and miss you so!!!............... C.Michael Lilly

  5. I am so sorry for your loss, I am without words...A big hug to your and your family. May you find some comfort in knowing that he is no longer in pain and that he fought a brave battle against cancer. He chose to drink his cold (no alcohol) beer and not deal with cancer no more. Again very sorry for your lose.

  7. I am so sorry that you had to go through this. As a parent I could never imagine the agony that these events have caused you. Your words on this blog have kept us updated, informed, and in touch with Pete. More importantly, your words have been inspiring, calming, and awe inspiring. As we all awkwardly moved about our days wondering what would happen to our beloved friend you became a mother to us all. You put your arms around us as we cried, you said the right words to put us at ease, and you lifted our chins when we where down....all with your words. You fought this fight right next to Pete and you too are a valiant warrior. Petey will be missed terribly. I pray for him and you. God rest his pure soul.
